Industry Minister Engages with 35th Qeyadat Programme Participants


Manama: Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, recently engaged with participants of the 35th batch of the “Qeyadat” (Leaderships) programme, an initiative organised by the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) as part of Bahrain’s national programme focused on developing government leaders.



According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Fakhro emphasized the importance of investing in the development of national leaders to enhance Bahrain’s competitiveness and drive sustainable progress across various sectors. He highlighted that government leaders are equipped with the necessary knowledge and expertise to make strategic decisions and craft effective solutions that bolster competitiveness on both regional and international platforms.



The Industry Minister pointed out the exceptional role the programme plays in the learning and development journey of national talent. It prepares leaders who are capable of driving change, shaping policy, and promoting institutional integration. This effort, he noted, boosts the efficiency of public sector institutions and supports growth in sectors including industry and trade.



Minister Fakhro also praised the Institute of Public Administration for its efforts, noting that the Institute’s work mirrors Bahrain’s commitment to building strategic national cadres who can advance institutional performance and achieve national goals.



Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, Director General of IPA, stated that enhancing the capabilities and skills of national leaders is integral to advancing the country’s institutional performance system. She highlighted that the Qeyadat programme is designed to develop strategic leaders who can create policies and design strategies using the latest administrative methods, thereby improving the Kingdom’s administrative development.



Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa further added that the IPA will continue to work towards creating a common platform for government leaders to shape future plans and administrative policies. This initiative aims to simplify procedures, launch joint initiatives, and improve the quality of government services and projects in alignment with the aspirations of citizens.
