His Excellency Mr. Zayed bin Rashed Al Zayani, the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Her Excellency Ms. Orit Farkash-Hacohen, Israel’s Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of research and development. The virtual signing ceremony was held on the sidelines of the visit of the Israeli Prime Minister His Excellency Mr. Naftali Bennett to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Al Zayani affirmed the importance of deepening bilateral ties with the State of Israel to serve the interests of both countries. He explained that the MoU aims to establish a common framework for joint industrial and commercial cooperation, especially in the fields of research, development and technological innovation.
The Minister explained that the MoU covers the Kingdom’s strategic priorities in the industrial field, including carbon capture, energy efficiency, advanced manufacturing and e-commerce.
