Manama: The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) has announced the addition of 14 new eServices to the MyGov app, accessible via the eGovernment App Store at bahrain.bh/apps. This update increases the total number of available eServices and features to 111 since the app's launch in February 2025.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Ali Abdulaziz Janahi, Deputy Chief Executive of Electronic Transformation at the iGA, stated that this update is part of the authority's ongoing efforts to enhance the MyGov app. The goal is to strengthen the app's position as a national digital platform that complements the National Portal bahrain.bh, providing citizens and residents with convenient access to a range of government services.
Among the newly introduced services is the Personal Bill Payment feature, developed in collaboration with the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA). It enables users with multiple accounts to complete their payments in a single step.
In support of humanitarian and charitable efforts, the app now includes the "Fael Khier" service in partnership with the Ministry of Interior, as well as options for zakat and donation payments. Additionally, the app provides features such as mosque and Ramadan majlis locations, prayer times, Qibla direction, daily moon phases, and both Gregorian and Hijri calendars, in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments.
Janahi also mentioned that users can now update their contact details directly through their MyGov app profile, thanks to a collaboration with the General Directorate of Traffic at the Ministry of Interior.
To enhance access to digital health services, the app allows users to view and report missing vaccination records, download vaccination documents, and access athletes' health certificates in cooperation with Primary Healthcare Centres and government hospitals. These new functionalities are part of a broader range of services already offered on the platform.
Since its launch in February 2025 and leading up to October of the same year, the MyGov app has been downloaded over 640,000 times, indicating significant public engagement and a growing dependency on the platform for government transactions.
For more details on the new services and features, citizens and residents can contact the Government Services Contact Centre at 80008001 or submit inquiries and feedback through the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul).
