Manama: The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) and the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) have announced that the standalone Electricity and Water Services App will be officially discontinued starting Thursday, October 23. This follows the successful integration and transfer of all its services into the unified MyGov app.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this move aligns with the government's mobile apps merger plan, aiming to consolidate existing government apps into three primary platforms: MyGov app for individuals, Al Tajir app for businesses and investors, and Bahrain app for visitors. The MyGov app now encompasses all electricity and water eServices, including bill and connection fee payments, inquiries and payments for current and past bills, viewing previous payments, consumption summaries, average consumption calculations and comparisons, and access to EWA service center locations. This integration provides users with a comprehensive range of eGovernment services, facilitating easy and convenient transaction completion.
The iGA and EWA have encouraged all citizens and residents to access electricity, water, and other government services by downloading the MyGov app from the eGovernment Apps Store at bahrain.bh/apps or visiting the National Portal bahrain.bh or the EWA website, www.ewa.bh. Additional information can be obtained from the EWA Customer Service Center at 17515555 or through submitting suggestions and feedback via the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul) or the Tawasul app.
Since its launch in February, the MyGov app has recorded over 550,000 downloads and offers 89 services and features as of August 2025.
