‘I Am Talented’ Launches First Girls’ Basketball Gathering with BBA Women’s Committee

Manama: The Equal Opportunities and Gender Balance Committee in Sports, in cooperation with the Women's Committee of the Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA), held the first training gathering for under-18 girls' basketball players under the 'I Am Talented' initiative. The session, held on Wednesday, June 16, at Zain Basketball Arena in Um Al Hassam, featured 3‚¬Å¡¬€š¬3 basketball training to develop skills and strengthen women's presence in sports.

According to Bahrain News Agency, attendees included Salama Mohammed Ateeq and Wafa Ibrahim Al Jazzaf from the Equal Opportunities Committee, Nadia Haji and Fatima Qambar from the BBA Women's Committee, BBA officials Ahmed Al Yasi and Mohamed Al Bastaki, and a Serbian coach specialising in 3‚¬Å¡¬€š¬3 basketball.

The initiative aims to identify young talent and prepare them for local and international competitions, supporting the committee's goals of gender equity and women's empowerment in sports.
