Miami: Meteorologists announced that Hurricane Humberto has strengthened into a powerful category 4 hurricane, with forecasts indicating further intensification as it moves over the central Atlantic Ocean. The US National Hurricane Center (NHC) in Miami stated that Humberto was packing maximum sustained winds of 145 miles per hour (230 kilometres per hour).
According to Bahrain News Agency, the hurricane's centre was located about 390 miles (630 kilometres) northeast of the northern Leeward Islands. The NHC's statement was issued late Friday, highlighting the storm's potential for further development as it progresses through the Atlantic.
