HRH the Deputy King Chairs Weekly Cabinet Meeting to Address Key National Initiatives

Manama: The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace, focusing on significant national initiatives and developments. The Cabinet extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the citizens of Bahrain on the anniversary of the National Action Charter, highlighting the accomplishments inspired by the Charter's principles.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet discussed preparations for the upcoming Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference, which will be held under the patronage of His Majesty the King. The Cabinet praised the efforts of the committees and parties involved in ensuring the conference's successful execution. The Deputy King emphasized the importance of doubling financial support for eligible individuals receiving social security and disability allowances during the holy month of Ramadan. He instructed the Ministry of Social Development to distribute this support prior to Ramadan, ensuring adequate living standards for citizens, especially those in low-income brackets.

Further, the Cabinet directed governmental bodies to continue advancing digital transformation projects. It acknowledged the launch of the "My Gov" application, commending the Ministerial Committee for Information Technology and Communication, headed by the Minister of Interior, for their work in this area. The Cabinet also addressed and approved several memorandums, including initiatives to enhance investment in the real estate sector, amend civil service regulations, and promote international customs cooperation with Italy.

The Cabinet reviewed reports on various international engagements and achievements, including the outcomes of visits by key ministers to Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, participation in the Arab States of the Gulf's ministerial meeting on food safety, and significant events related to Manama as the Arab Media Capital 2024. Additionally, the Cabinet noted the success of Bahraini schools in the TIMSS 2023, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to educational excellence.
