HRH the Deputy King Chairs Weekly Cabinet Meeting Emphasizing Key Initiatives and International Relations

Gudaibiya: The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, presided over the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace, where significant national and international matters were discussed.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting highlighted the importance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's visit to the Sultanate of Oman and the discussions with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al-Said. The Cabinet praised the strong, longstanding relations between Bahrain and Oman. Additionally, the Cabinet marked the 24th anniversary of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), applauding the Council's efforts and the crucial role of Bahraini women in advancing national progress under King Hamad's leadership. Support from Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa was also recognized for her contributions to enhancing women's roles in various sectors.

HRH the Deputy King initiated the introduction of a Parent Induction Day in public schools to inform parents and guardians about the new academic year. The Deputy King instructed the Ministry of Education to ensure a conducive learning environment that promotes academic success in public schools. The Cabinet extended its commendations to Youth City 2030's 14th edition, lauding Bahraini youth's robust participation and the initiatives led by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to foster innovation and excellence among the youth.

The Cabinet expressed appreciation to the organizers of Youth City 2030 for their role in creating a supportive environment for youth development. In addition, the significance of the newly opened Abdullah bin Khalid College of Islamic Studies building was affirmed for its role in preparing future intellectual leaders and promoting Arab and Islamic identity in accordance with Islamic law principles.

The Cabinet offered condolences to the President, government, and people of Pakistan, and to the families affected by recent floods in northern Pakistan. Wishes for a swift recovery for the injured were also extended.

Several memorandums were reviewed and approved, covering topics such as government website design, classification of terrorist entities, amendments to the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development agreement, and memorandums of understanding with the GCC Accreditation Center and the British Council. Additionally, issues regarding the expropriation of properties for urban development and responses to draft laws submitted by the Council of Representatives were discussed.

The Cabinet reviewed memorandums on the GCC Ministerial Council's draft agenda and government agency performance in various systems from January to July 2025, noting improvements in efficiency and productivity that bolster government service delivery and support business and investment in Bahrain.

Finally, ministerial reports on the World Health Organisation Regional Director's visit to Bahrain were acknowledged, signifying continued engagement in international health dialogues.
