HRH the Deputy King Chairs Weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace.

Manama: The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting held today at the Gudaibiya Palace. The Cabinet emphasized the significance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's recent visit to the United Kingdom, which was conducted at the behest of King Charles III, as a pivotal step in advancing Bahrain-UK relations and partnerships across multiple sectors. According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet expressed a warm welcome to the newly appointed Cabinet members following a Royal Decree by HM the King. The Cabinet extended its best wishes for success to the new Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, His Highness Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and the Minister of Social Development, His Excellency Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi. The Cabinet took time to commend the outcomes of the visit by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Montenegro, His Excellency Milojko Spajic. It emphasized the significance of this visit in enhancing bilateral cooperation to achieve shared objectives. Furthermore, the Cabinet welcomed the launch of the global youth support initiative "Hope Network." This initiative aligns with HM the King's vision to support and invest in the Kingdom's youth, under the directives of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Spearheaded by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the initiative aims to foster youth engagement and empowerment. In the realm of sports, the Cabinet congratulated Bahrain's national volleyball team for their victory in the 23rd Arab Men's Volleyball Championship, celebrating this win as a significant addition to Bahrain's sports achievements. The Cabinet also extended best wishes for the success of the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit hosted by Saudi Arabia, expressing hope for strengthened Arab solidarity and a unified stance on regional developments. Additionally, the Cabinet congratulated President-elect Donald Trump on his vict ory in the U.S. presidential elections and commended the longstanding Bahrain-U.S. relationship, which spans over 120 years. Several memorandums were discussed and approved during the meeting, including initiatives to enhance drug management, restructure government agencies, and agreements related to health and legislative affairs. Lastly, the Cabinet noted ministerial reports on the outcomes of the Kingdom's participation in the 25th GCC Ministerial Committee meeting and the official visit of the Minister of Industry and Commerce to the United Arab Emirates.
