HRH the Deputy King Attends Prime Minister’s Award for Journalism Ceremony

Manama: HRH the Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, attended the 10th edition of the Prime Minister's Award for Journalism, held under his patronage. His Royal Highness praised the national press's role as a key partner in the Kingdom's development and emphasized the significant contributions of Bahraini journalists to the country's achievements, supporting the comprehensive development led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad highlighted the critical role of the Kingdom's press in strengthening national unity, raising public awareness, fostering trust in official sources, and safeguarding national interests. The Prime Minister's Award for Journalism has fostered a culture of excellence, recognizing outstanding media talent and encouraging continued creativity that enhances Bahraini journalism's status.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad commended the national media's commitment, particularly their professionalism during the hostile Iranian aggression against Bahrain. He expressed pride in Bahrain's press for their professionalism and dedication to credible reporting.

The Deputy King honored the recipients of the 2026 Prime Minister's Award for Journalism, including Mounis Al-Mardi for the Journalism Personality Award, and notable journalists awarded for columns, investigative journalism, niche pages, interviews, photography, and visual content. University students were also recognized for their journalism projects.

His Royal Highness congratulated the award recipients, encouraging ongoing creativity and excellence. HE Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al-Noaimi, Minister of Information, expressed gratitude for the support from His Majesty the King and HRH the Deputy King, noting the award's prestigious standing in recognizing journalistic excellence.

The award winners expressed appreciation for HRH the Deputy King's support, viewing the awards as an incentive to continue contributing to the media industry with professionalism. Several senior officials, journalists, and media professionals attended the ceremony.
