Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, hosted a Ramadan iftar banquet for senior officers of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF). Upon his arrival, His Royal Highness was welcomed by His Excellency Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Commander-in-Chief of the BDF.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the event was attended by several high-ranking officials, including His Highness Lieutenant-General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Commander of the Royal Guard, and Staff Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Royal Guard Special Force Commander. His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa were also present.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister was additionally greeted by His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, the Minister of Defence Affairs, and Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, the BDF Chief of Staff, along with other senior BDF officers.
His Royal Highness affirmed the ongoing progress of the BDF in combat readiness and its contributions to the Kingdom's development, attributing these achievements to the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad expressed pride in the BDF personnel's role in safeguarding the Kingdom, acknowledging the sacrifices made alongside allied armed forces. He noted that these contributions will remain a part of history.
On the occasion of Ramadan, His Royal Highness exchanged best wishes with the BDF Commander-in-Chief and senior officers, expressing hopes for continued security and prosperity for the Kingdom, the Arab world, and Islamic nations.
