His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at AlShati Palace.
His Royal Highness highlighted the depth of historic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, noting that this deep bond continues to receive the full support of both His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
His Royal Highness extended the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the President and Crown Prince of the UAE, wishing the UAE further progress and development.
His Royal Highness went on to note the strength of bilateral cooperation and coordination between Bahrain and the UAE, which continues to be underpinned by a supportive, mutually beneficial partnership.
HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to the UAE, emphasising the importance of further strengthening relations.
Regional and international developments, as well as bilateral efforts to face common challenges, were discussed.
His Royal Highness and His Highness then exchanged Ramadan and Eid well wishes.
Later, His Royal Highness attended an iftar banquet hosted by His Highness the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, in honour of His Royal Highness and the accompanying delegation’s visit.
Lieutenant-General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Airports, a number of senior government officials from the UAE, the Minister of Interior, HE General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the UAE, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
