Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, today met with The Right Honourable Lord Peter Mandelson, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the United States, at Blair House, the President's Guest House in Washington D.C. The meeting was conducted on the sidelines of Prince Salman's official visit to the United States, where he also met with President Donald J. Trump and senior U.S. officials. According to Bahrain News Agency, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed the strong historical ties between Bahrain and the United Kingdom. He emphasized the advanced levels of cooperation and joint coordination between the two nations through strategic partnerships and agreements. A key focus of the discussion was the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA), which the UK recently joined at Bahrain and the United States' invitation. HRH Prince Salman highlighted the agreement's role in establishing a foundation for s ecurity integration and prosperity in the Middle East. HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad welcomed the UK's full participation in C-SIPA, viewing it as a multilateral framework designed to unite like-minded countries in enhancing regional security, strengthening deterrence against external threats, and expanding cooperation in trade, science, and technology. His Royal Highness expressed hope that more countries would join the agreement to benefit the region and further cooperation. HRH Prince Salman also emphasized the importance of reinforcing the Bahrain-U.K. partnership to create opportunities across various fields aligned with shared goals. The meeting included discussions on the latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest. Attending the meeting were HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, and several senior officials.
