Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has issued Edict (19) of 2025, which introduces amendments to certain provisions of Edict (44) of 2022. The amendments pertain to the establishment and formation of the Government Land Investment Committee.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the first article of the new edict replaces Clause (a) of Article I of Edict (44) of 2022. It details the composition of the Government Land Investment Committee, specifying the titles and roles of its members. The committee will be chaired by the Undersecretary for Research and Projects at the Prime Minister's Office, with the Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Information at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy serving as the Deputy Chairperson. The committee will also include various directors from key government departments such as the Ministry of Works, the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, and others.
Further, Article II of the edict revises Article VII of the original edict. It mandates that the committee submit its reports, including updates on the progress of its work, to the Minister of Finance and National Economy.
The edict stipulates that relevant authorities are responsible for implementing its provisions, which are effective immediately from the date of issuance.
