HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Inaugurates the Kanoo Museum

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today inaugurated the Kanoo Museum. The inauguration aligns with the Royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, aimed at preserving Bahrain's historical and cultural identity and redeveloping Manama Souq's historical area.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness emphasized the importance of initiatives that document the commercial heritage of Bahraini businessmen, showcasing their contributions to the Kingdom's development. He highlighted the crucial role of Bahraini business families in economic and social sectors, underlining Bahrain's status as a leading regional commercial hub.

His Royal Highness noted that the Museum highlights the Kingdom's economic and commercial history through a unique collection of exhibits and artefacts. He expressed pride in the Kanoo family's contributions and the private sector's role in driving economic growth, emphasizing the need for strong public-private partnerships to achieve sustainable development.

Fawzi Ahmed Kanoo, Chairman of Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group, expressed gratitude to HM the King for his commitment to preserving the Kingdom's cultural identity. He also thanked HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for inaugurating the Museum, which highlights the Kanoo family business legacy spanning over 130 years.

The Kanoo Museum, a private institution affiliated with the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group, is located in the Old Manama Souq. It showcases the cultural heritage, economic history, and commercial development of Bahrain and the region through a series of exhibits. The late Khalid Kanoo significantly contributed to its establishment.

Several dignitaries, including HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, along with senior officials, attended the inauguration ceremony.
