According to Bahrain News Agency, the edict consists of several articles that outline significant changes in the educational framework. Article I confirms the approval of the General Policies of the NQF as appended to the edict. Article II declares the repeal of Edict (12) of 2015, which previously approved the General Policies of the NQF through the Quality Assurance Authority for Education and Training (QAAET), and Edict (17) of 2019 related to the General Framework for Academic Programme Reviews conducted by the Directorate of Higher Education Reviews of the Education and Training Quality Authority. Furthermore, any provisions that contradict the new edict are also nullified.

Article III specifies that the edict and its associated policies will be published in the Official Gazette and will become effective the day after their publication.
