HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Chairs Weekly Cabinet Meeting Highlighting Key Achievements and Initiatives


Gudaibiya: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, presided over the weekly Cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace. The Cabinet commenced by lauding Bahrain’s successful hosting of the 3rd Asian Youth Games under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The Cabinet praised the organizers and recognized the achievements of Bahraini athletes.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet acknowledged the contributions of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in advancing the Kingdom’s youth and sports sectors. The Cabinet extended congratulations to His Majesty the King on successfully organizing the IISS Manama Dialogue 2025, emphasizing the forum’s role in fostering international cooperation for regional and global security.



The Cabinet congratulated Egypt on the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, attended by His Royal Highness on behalf of His Majesty the King, and expressed gratitude for the warm reception received during the visit. The Cabinet noted the museum as a symbol of Egyptian civilization and its role in promoting cultural connections among nations.



Discussions also included the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum 2025, emphasizing its importance as a regional economic platform showcasing investment opportunities. The Cabinet highlighted the announcement of 61 initiatives and 33 agreements valued at USD 17 billion, reflecting the efforts of organizers like the Bahrain Economic Development Board.



The Cabinet offered condolences to the family of a citizen lost at sea, stressing the importance of maritime safety and cooperation with security authorities. The Cabinet commended the Coast Guard’s efforts in ensuring seafarer safety and thanked Qatar’s General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security for their assistance.



Acknowledging Bahraini Doctor’s Day, the Cabinet commended medical professionals for their contributions to healthcare development. The Cabinet welcomed the UN Security Council resolution on Western Sahara, noting its alignment with the Moroccan Autonomy Initiative and appreciating U.S. diplomatic efforts in drafting the resolution.



The Cabinet reviewed and approved several legal and legislative memorandums, including Bahrain’s accession to international agreements, frameworks promoting coexistence, and various memorandums of understanding with international educational institutions and strategic partners.



Ministerial reports were noted on Bahrain’s participation in the Future Investment Initiative Forum, GCC Ministerial Committee meetings, and the Global Health Forum 2025, reflecting Bahrain’s active involvement in regional and global discussions.
