Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, led the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting was held in light of the Royal Order by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to conclude the fourth session of the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives. The Cabinet reiterated its commitment to collaborating with the Legislative Authority to achieve the Kingdom's goals.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet acknowledged the meeting between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, affirming Bahrain's support for diplomacy and cooperation with allied nations to promote peace and stability. The Cabinet also expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Interior and security authorities for uncovering an organization linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Wilayat Al Faqih ideology. They instructed the relevant authorities to continue investigations and take legal action against those involved.
The Cabinet praised the Labour Fund's approval of an economic support package for 7,250 Bahraini businesses affected by Iranian aggression, ensuring operational and workforce sustainability. His Royal Highness directed resources to assist Bahraini pilgrims, acknowledging Saudi Arabia's efforts in facilitating Hajj rituals. In observance of International Nurses Day, the Cabinet extended appreciation to the Kingdom's nurses.
The Cabinet condemned Iranian aggression against the UAE, Kuwait, and Qatar, reaffirming Bahrain's solidarity with these nations and support for their sovereignty. Several memoranda, including amending the GCC Customs Law and MoUs with educational institutions, were also approved. Bahrain's accession to the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty was endorsed to promote collective action and sustainable development goals.
Reports on the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture's priority projects and the performance of government systems were reviewed. The outcomes of Bahrain's participation in various international meetings and exhibitions were also discussed.
