Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, awarded Oscar Piastri of Team McLaren as the champion of the 2025 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. The podium ceremony took place at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) as the event marked its 21st edition.
According to Bahrain News Agency, George Russell of Team Mercedes and Lando Norris of Team McLaren secured second and third places, respectively. His Royal Highness extended congratulations to the podium finishers and all participating teams, noting their performance and competitive spirit in defining this year's race.
His Royal Highness affirmed that McLaren's win in the 2025 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix reflects Team Bahrain's determination for success. He also highlighted the event's ongoing success as a testament to Bahrain's commitment to hosting world-class sporting events, enhancing its position as a regional hub for international sports, particularly motorsport.
