Riyadh: A meeting was held on Wednesday in Riyadh between His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; His Excellency Donald Trump, President of the United States of America; and His Excellency Ahmad al-Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic. His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Trkiye, joined the meeting via phone. According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting underscored the importance of preserving Syria's stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and highlighted the need to achieve security and prosperity for the Syrian people. The leaders also addressed regional developments and the importance of pursuing appropriate solutions. HE President al Sharaa expressed his appreciation to HE President Trump for the decision to lift sanctions on Syria, describing it as a step that would open a new chapter for reconstruction, economic revitalisation, and the restoration of stab ility and security.
