Gudaibiya: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met with Bahraini writer and journalist, Sawsan Al Shaer, at Gudaibiya Palace. During the meeting, Al Shaer presented a copy of her book, “Isa Al Kabeer: Founder of the Modern State,” to His Royal Highness.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the book’s release is aligned with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Royal Order that designates 2026 as the “Year of Isa Al Kabeer.” This designation honors His Highness Isa Al Kabeer, the founding figure of Bahrain’s modern state, and coincides with the 25th anniversary of the National Action Charter.
His Royal Highness emphasized that the designation is a testament to His Majesty the King’s dedication to preserving the legacy of significant figures who have played crucial roles in Bahrain’s development. He highlighted His Highness Isa Al Kabeer’s contributions to strengthening Bahrain’s political, economic, and cultural foundations.
The Crown Prince noted the achievements during Isa Al Kabeer’s era, which fortified Bahrain’s political stability and security, thereby aiding its development and prosperity. Prince Salman emphasized the importance of documenting Isa Al Kabeer’s efforts and sacrifices to accurately reflect his historical significance.
During the briefing on the book, HRH expressed gratitude to Sawsan Al Shaer for her contribution and acknowledged the national efforts involved in the book’s publication. The meeting was attended by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, along with other senior officials.
