Amman: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, today met with Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren, the United Kingdom's Defence Senior Advisor to the Middle East and North Africa, at Riffa Palace. The meeting highlighted the historic and ongoing relationship between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, emphasizing the advancement of bilateral ties.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness underscored the shared national commitment to strengthening the Bahrain-UK strategic partnership, with a focus on military and defence cooperation. This collaboration aligns with existing partnerships and agreements, including the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (CSIPA), aimed at achieving mutual goals and aspirations.
His Royal Highness welcomed Vice Admiral Ahlgren and the delegation, noting the cooperative and partnership levels between the two countries across various sectors, contributing to mutual growth. He emphasized the United Kingdom's role in ensuring regional and international security and stability.
The meeting also reviewed avenues for enhancing cooperation, discussed the latest regional developments, and addressed issues of common interest. The meeting was attended by HH Lieutenant-General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
