HRH Crown Prince Appoints Bahrain Representatives to Qatar-Bahrain Causeway Board

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has issued Edict (62) of 2025, appointing representatives from the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Board of Directors of the Qatar-Bahrain Causeway Foundation. This decision comes following a proposal from the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and subsequent approval by the Cabinet.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the edict specifies the appointment of four officials to the board. These include Yousef Abdullah Hamood, who serves as the Undersecretary for Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, and Ahmed Abdulaziz Al Khayyat, the Chief Executive of the Urban Planning and Development Authority. Additionally, Hussain Ali Yaqoub, the Assistant Undersecretary for Land Transport at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, and Ahmed Sami Al Tajer, the Assistant Undersecretary for Roads at the Ministry of Works, have also been appointed.

The tenure for these appointments is set for three years, with the possibility of renewal. The ministers are tasked with implementing the provisions of this edict, which is effective immediately and will be published in the Official Gazette.
