Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, today met with The Right Honourable John Healey MP, Secretary of State for Defence of the United Kingdom.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting underscored the longstanding Bahrain-UK relations, which are supported by strategic partnerships and multisectoral collaboration. The discussions emphasized a shared commitment to enhancing cooperation, particularly in military and defence sectors, aligning with existing agreements such as the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA).
His Royal Highness acknowledged the United Kingdom's influential role on the international stage and its contributions to maintaining regional and international security and stability. The session also explored opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation in military and defence sectors and discussed regional developments and their potential impact on security and stability.
Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs, and Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), were present at the meeting.
