HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s directives to grant frontliners two exceptional steps of promotion praised by Speaker

Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has lauded the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to grant two exceptional promotional steps in the civil service or their equivalent to frontline responders.

The speaker affirmed that the move is based on His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s pride in the efforts exerted by the first responders in combating the novel Coronavirus pandemic.

It is also in tribute to the great services delivered by frontline responders to the citizens and residents in order to protect public safety and health, which contributed significantly to mitigating COVID-19 effects, earning Team Bahrain, led by HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister, local and international acclaim, she added.

She pointed out that HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s directives will motivate everyone to be more dedicated in serving the nation, the citizens and residents, noting that frontline heroes have placed national interests above everything else.

The speaker expressed the Representatives Council’s deep pride in all frontline workers, adding that their contributions will remain engraved in the minds of all citizens and residents, and that they are role models for dedication and loyalty.

She pointed out that World Health Organisation’s adoption of “Manama Healthy City 2021” adds to the kingdom’s rich record of achievements attained during HM the King’s comprehensive development march.

It is also an international recognition of the plans, programmes and efforts of the government, led by HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in the area of health and social development, she said.
