HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Unveils McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team’s New MCL40

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, attended the unveiling of the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team's new MCL40 at the Bahrain International Circuit.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness affirmed that the successes of the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team have played a significant role in the Kingdom's comprehensive development, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He highlighted the support provided by Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat) to McLaren, which has been instrumental in the team's recent achievements and emphasized the ongoing efforts to achieve the Kingdom's ambitious goals.

His Royal Highness praised the team's personnel for their contributions to the sophisticated design of the new vehicle and extended his wishes for the team's further success in the 2026 Formula 1 season. Moreover, he acknowledged the organisers of the Formula 1 Pre-Season Testing 2026 for their hard work ahead of the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2026, scheduled for April.

Emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts, His Royal Highness stressed the significance of implementing effective plans and programmes to bolster the Kingdom's success in the forthcoming Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2026. He also expressed gratitude to Bahrainis across various sectors for their contributions to the successful hosting of Formula One races in the Kingdom.
