HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Reviews National Emergency Preparedness Amid Regional Tensions

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, visited the General Directorate of Civil Defence and the National Center for Civil Emergency Management as part of his oversight of the Kingdom's response to hostile Iranian aggression.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the visit aimed to evaluate the preparedness and operational readiness of the Kingdom's emergency services, aligning with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's commitment to national security and citizen welfare. His Royal Highness was welcomed by HE General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior.

During the visit, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister was briefed on the current measures addressing the hostile attacks and the coordination among relevant authorities to ensure a swift response and protection of lives and property. He expressed appreciation to General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla for his efforts in enhancing the security apparatus's readiness.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister commended the members of the General Directorate of Civil Defence and the National Center for Civil Emergency Management for their dedication and professionalism in handling various situations. He emphasized that the safety of citizens and residents remains a priority and stressed the importance of improving readiness and field response efficiency.

HE the Minister of Interior expressed gratitude for the visit, highlighting HRH's commitment to national security efforts. The visit also included briefings on national emergency readiness, joint government coordination, sustainability of services and infrastructure, food and water security, energy and electricity efficiency, and communication resilience.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister was accompanied by HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Police, was also present.
