HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Meets GCC Secretary General at Gudaibiya Palace

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, engaged in discussions with HE Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, at Gudaibiya Palace.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness reiterated Bahrain's commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to advancing Gulf cooperation. The focus remains on achieving deeper integration and enhanced coordination among the GCC countries.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad emphasized the noteworthy achievements of the GCC since its inception and underscored the importance of further building on this foundation in accordance with the leaders' vision. He highlighted the close ties between Bahrain and the GCC member states and praised the Secretary-General's efforts in promoting the GCC's development and unity.

His Royal Highness also discussed Bahrain's preparations to host the 46th session of the GCC Supreme Council in December. He expressed confidence in the summit's potential to be a significant milestone in the GCC's journey, facilitating progress in various sectors. HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad commended the solidarity and cooperation among GCC states, particularly in addressing regional and global challenges, and highlighted their role in promoting regional peace, security, and stability.

The meeting included discussions on shared interests to strengthen the GCC's work and impact. His Excellency the Secretary-General expressed gratitude to His Royal Highness for his commitment to fostering GCC cooperation, which is crucial for advancing integration.

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, and several senior officials were also present at the meeting.
