Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, convened with the newly elected Chairman of the Bahraini Journalists Association (BJA), Isa Al Shaiji, along with the Association's Board members at Gudaibiya Palace.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting highlighted the national press's pivotal role in Team Bahrain's objectives, underscoring its significance in the Kingdom's comprehensive development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. His Royal Highness emphasized the press's responsibility in promoting national values and enhancing social awareness through responsible reporting.
The Crown Prince and Prime Minister also accentuated the importance of media discourse in furthering national development and empowering citizens, which in turn bolsters the Kingdom's stature across various sectors. He congratulated the BJA's newly elected leadership, acknowledging the press's crucial role in spotlighting national achievements and the resilience of the Bahraini people.
His Royal Highness urged the national press to continue reporting on key societal issues and to promote noble values, stressing the need for a unified effort to build upon existing accomplishments. He praised the sector's integrity and dedication in fulfilling their journalistic mission.
Isa Al Shaiji, the Chairman of the BJA, expressed gratitude for His Royal Highness's unwavering support for the national press, which remains a catalyst for the Kingdom's aspirations. The meeting also included the presence of several dignitaries, such as HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, and HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, among other senior officials.
