Riffa: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met with the heads of delegations attending the 12th meeting of the Committee of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Health Ministers at Riffa Palace. During the meeting, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad emphasized Bahrain's dedication, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to advancing the shared aspirations of the GCC countries and fostering greater cooperation and integration.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting underscored the historic ties and mutual ambitions of the GCC countries, which provide a robust foundation for strengthening Gulf cooperation. These efforts align with the aspirations of the GCC states' leaders. The heads of delegations extended greetings from their respective leaders to His Majesty the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who reciprocated with greetings from HM the King and himself.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed hopes for the success of the meeting, highlighting its potential role in enhancing joint coordination and cooperation in developing healthcare systems and improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare services across GCC countries. He also stressed the importance of implementing healthcare measures proposed by GCC leaders to improve service quality and strengthen medical preparedness regionally.
The heads of delegations expressed gratitude for HRH's commitment to supporting joint Gulf action in the healthcare sector and further developing healthcare systems across the GCC. They wished Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by several senior officials, including His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, and HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs. The 12th meeting of the Committee of GCC Health Ministers is hosted by Bahrain as part of its presidency of the 46th Session of the Supreme Council of the GCC, the "Bahrain Summit".
