Hamad town: Following the directive of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to open, renovate, and restore 60 mosques under the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments Directorates, Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futais Al Hajri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, inaugurated Abdullah Behzad Mosque in Hamad Town, Northern Governorate. According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Dr. Al Hajri highlighted the Kingdom's ongoing efforts in constructing and maintaining mosques under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He also emphasised the support of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in expanding and developing the mosque network to serve citizens and residents. The mosque covers an area of 1,101 square metres, with a built-up area of 698 square metres. It includes a men's prayer hall for 265 worshippers, a women's prayer hall for 20, and supporting facilities.
