HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Chairs Weekly Cabinet Meeting, Discusses Key Initiatives and Developments.

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting today at Gudaibiya Palace. The Cabinet highlighted the importance of the second edition of the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum 2024, which aims to showcase Bahrain and the region's investment opportunities to international stakeholders, thereby enhancing the Kingdom's position as a hub for regional and international investments. According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet commended the Bahrain Economic Development Board and other agencies for their efforts in coordinating the Forum, noting the high level of international participation and the opportunities it provides for potential investment in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the region. The Cabinet also emphasised the Forum's role in providing insights on responding to economic developments. The Cabinet congratulated all Bahraini doctors and health sector employees on the occasion of Bahraini Doctor's Day, acknowledging their c ontributions to the development of medical services. Furthermore, the Cabinet expressed condolences to the King, government, and people of Spain following recent storms and floods, extending wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured. During the meeting, the Cabinet discussed several memorandums, approving a package of priority draft laws aimed at advancing development initiatives for citizens' benefit. These included draft regulations on veterinary, agriculture, quarantine, seeds, seedlings, and food in the GCC, and two MoUs with Russia and Cyprus in youth affairs and education. The Cabinet also approved a memorandum of understanding between Bahrain's Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Mission Possible Partnership to join the Industrial Transition Accelerator Programme. Additionally, the Cabinet addressed the government's response to a proposal from the Council of Representatives. The meeting reviewed several ministerial reports, including Bahrain's participation in international forums and summit s, the positive reception of National Tree Week, and Bahrain's achievements at various events such as the Arab Hospitals Federation's Silver Jubilee celebration, where Bahrain won two awards. Other discussions included Bahrain's involvement in the International School Games, GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee, and the outcomes of the 34th meeting of the Ministers of Justice of the GCC.
