Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet emphasized the significance of discussions held by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa with His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar during the latter's state visit to Bahrain. The talks were noted to have strengthened bilateral relations and underscored the commitment of both nations to enhance partnership across different sectors to achieve shared development objectives.
The Cabinet praised the inauguration of the King Hamad Lecture for Neutral Justice, attended by His Royal Highness on behalf of His Majesty the King. The event brought together judges, government officials, and international legal experts to discuss the influence of new international courts on trade and investment, as well as Bahrain's aspirations to become a regional hub for commercial justice.
The outcomes of the third Arab International Cybersecurity Conference and Exhibition were also highlighted by the Cabinet. Under the patronage of His Royal Highness, the event was inaugurated by Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, reinforcing Bahrain's commitment to bolstering international cybersecurity cooperation.
Acknowledgment was given to the success of the Royal Bahrain Concours and the Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain event, with the Cabinet expressing gratitude to the Ministry of Interior, Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, and Bahrain International Circuit for their roles in the events, which emphasized Bahrain's standing in international motorsport.
The Cabinet celebrated the second phase inauguration of the Avenues - Bahrain expansion project, enhancing the mall's offerings and supporting its status as a leading shopping and entertainment venue.
The launch of passenger ferry services between Bahrain and Qatar was welcomed, with directives issued to utilize the route for enhancing cooperation and connectivity, and to continue the Bahrain-Qatar Causeway project plans.
The Cabinet approved several memorandums, including Bahrain's accession to the Locarno Agreement, a draft agreement for the GCC Rail Project, facilitation of maritime vessel movement between GCC states, and a Memorandum of Understanding between the Higher Education Council and QS Quacquarelli Symonds.
Ministerial reports were reviewed, highlighting Bahrain's participation in the Fifth Bahrain-India High Joint Commission Meeting, ADIPEC 2025, COP30, the first Bahrain International Public Health Conference, the official visit to Egypt by the Minister of Youth Affairs, and the Second World Summit for Social Development.
