Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, attended the ninth edition of the Prime Minister's Award for Journalism, held under his patronage. His Royal Highness emphasized the importance of the national press as a key partner in the Kingdom's development, highlighting its role in supporting and promoting Bahrain's achievements across various sectors in line with the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister praised the prominent role played by the Kingdom's journalists in reporting national efforts, building community awareness, and conveying messages that serve national goals as part of Bahrain's comprehensive development. HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad honoured the recipients of the 2025 Prime Minister's Press Award, recognizing their contributions to journalism.
Issa Al Shaiji, Editor-in-Chief of Al Ayam newspaper, received the 2025 Journalism Personality Award. Dr Abdulla Ahmed Al-Madani, a columnist from Al Ayam newspaper, was awarded the Best Column Award. Ali Al Fardan, journalist from Al Bilad Press, earned the Best Investigative Journalism Award. Mohammed Qasim Al-Saei from Akhbar Al Khaleej newspaper took home the Best Interview Award. Sultan Jassim Al Haddad, photographer from Bahrain News Agency, was recognized with the Best Photography Award. Faisal Mohammed Al-Ali from Al Watan newspaper won the Best Press Institution's Website or Electronic Account Award.
Ali Abdulkhaleq from Akhbar Al Khaleej newspaper received the Best Visual Journalistic Content Award, and Jamil Ahmed Sarhan, also from Akhbar Al Khaleej, was awarded the Best Infographic Report Award. Amal Al Aradi, journalist for the "Womens" column at Al Bilad newspaper, was recognized with the Best Newspaper Niche Page or Supplement Award. Students leading the journalistic project "Turathna/Our Heritage" at the Media and Public Relations Department of The Gulf University received the Best University Student Journalism Project Award.
His Royal Highness extended his congratulations to all award recipients, wishing them continued success and excellence, and encouraging their further contributions to the Kingdom of Bahrain's development and prosperity.
