Manama: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, in cooperation with Eskan Bank, has launched the Mobile Branch Initiative for Housing Finance, which will be available from Friday, August 1, to Tuesday, August 5. The initiative operates from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm at The Avenues Mall, located at the entrance of Gate 1.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Haitham Mohammed Kamal, Director of Communications at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, highlighted that the Mobile Branch for Housing Finance is among several initiatives introduced by the ministry in partnership with Eskan Bank. The goal is to increase public awareness about various housing finance solutions available to citizens, providing immediate services to facilitate access to suitable housing.
The Mobile Branch is set to offer financial consultations and address queries regarding the terms and criteria of different housing finance programmes directly and in person. Kamal noted that this initiative is part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to improve citizens' understanding of housing services and ensure they benefit from them. This is a continuation of efforts following three editions of the Housing Finance Exhibition at City Centre Bahrain, the Innovation Summit and Exhibition in Social Housing, and prior roadshows of the Mobile Branch at numerous shopping centres, all of which attracted significant public engagement. Additionally, the ministry holds informative lectures on available financing options across various governorates in the Kingdom.
Khalid Ahmed Al Khaja, Senior Manager of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Eskan Bank, expressed that the bank's participation in this initiative aims to provide consultations to citizens and offer tailored solutions to help them select appropriate financing options. Citizens will also be informed about housing finance programmes available through participating banks on the digital Baity platform. Eskan Bank will also exhibit current social housing projects being developed under the Government Land Rights Development Programme for eligible financing applicants.
Al Khaja emphasized that the Baity platform would be accessible to visitors, offering online services, including booking housing units and completing necessary procedures efficiently, all within a single integrated platform in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning. He further noted that the Mobile Branch enables visitors to explore various property options in line with the Tas'heel Plus and Tas'heel programmes, as well as the updated Mazaya category, including villas, plots, and apartments across all of Bahrain's governorates. The digital platform provides flexibility and detailed information about available properties, utilizing advanced visual display technologies offered by participating companies.
