Housing Ministry Celebrates Bahraini Women’s Day with Focus on Distinction and Innovation

Manama: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning organized an event to celebrate Bahraini Women's Day 2025, which this year centers around the theme "Bahraini Women: Distinction, Creativity, Innovation." The celebration highlighted the numerous achievements of Bahraini women across various fields.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, emphasized that the occasion is a moment to reflect on the significant contributions and achievements of Bahraini women. These accomplishments are supported by the ongoing commitment of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The minister also recognized the pivotal role played by the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), under the leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Council. The SCW's programs have been instrumental in the progress of Bahraini women, facilitating their transition from empowerment to leadership and competitiveness in various sectors.

Furthermore, the minister noted that since 2011, over 6,555 Bahraini women have benefited from housing ownership and financing services. This achievement demonstrates the government's dedication to promoting family stability and expanding opportunities for women throughout the Kingdom.
