Manama: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, in collaboration with Eskan Bank, has launched the official website for the Innovation Summit in Social Housing 2025.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the event, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, will take place from April 23-25 at the Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB) under the theme 'Towards Innovative and Sustainable Housing Solutions.'
Abdullah Talib, General Manager of Eskan Bank, stated that the website aims to raise awareness about the conference's objectives and key themes. It includes details about the speakers and provides a registration mechanism for those interested in attending the exhibition and participating in the sessions, both from within the Kingdom of Bahrain and abroad.
Moreover, the website offers the agenda for the conference sessions, discussion topics, and a list of participating entities, including real estate developers and financing banks supporting the housing finance programme. Taleb noted that the conference themes will include exchanging experiences on innovative designs and construction technologies, exploring investment opportunities for the private sector in the social housing sector, integrating community needs into housing programmes and services, and enhancing legal and regulatory frameworks. Another focus will be on optimal land use to develop sustainable urban communities.
The conference will feature discussions and working papers on successful case studies and the current state of the housing sector, including its challenges and opportunities for development. It will gather ministers and senior officials from both the public and private sectors, from Bahrain and abroad, along with a distinguished group of international speakers specializing in social housing to enrich the discussions.
The exhibition will showcase over 30 pavilions representing government entities, commercial banks, and property development companies, featuring a range of housing projects eligible for the housing finance programme. The Innovation Summit in Social Housing 2025 and its accompanying exhibition aim to advance Bahrain's housing strategies and policies through innovative housing solutions and the exchange of knowledge and expertise, contributing to the development of the social housing sector.
The event serves as a prime platform for professionals in the social housing sector to exchange experiences and explore the latest projects, with broad participation from the Gulf region, the Arab world, and international stakeholders.
