Al hidd: Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, accompanied by Lulwa Saleh Al Awadhi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), made an inspection visit to the Masaken 2 project in Al Hidd Housing City to review progress and completion rates, in the presence of officials from the ministry and the council.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Al Rumaihi highlighted the support of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the SCW, in advancing efforts to provide housing services for Bahraini women. She emphasized that the Masaken project is a leading initiative aimed at supporting women in securing suitable housing and ensuring their living stability.
She further noted that Masaken 2 builds on the success of Masaken 1 in Al Lawzi, which successfully provided homes for female citizens. The construction progress on Masaken in Al Hidd Housing City has reached 73%, with infrastructure work completed. The project is on schedule and is expected to be finished by the end of the year, after which apartments will be allocated to beneficiaries.
SCW Secretary General Lulwa Saleh Al Awadhi remarked that the project's progress reflects a joint commitment to accelerating housing projects that support Bahraini women and their stability. She praised the strong partnership between the council and the ministry in meeting women's housing needs, supporting sustainable development, and aligning with shared visions and goals.
During the site visit, the engineering team presented the project's components, apartment designs, and the facilities and services provided, in line with the plan coordinated between the ministry and the council. The plan focuses on modern apartment designs and providing services and facilities that meet the needs of the project's beneficiaries.
