HoR Committee for Justice andReconciliation issues a statement on kidnapping of Faraj Boumtari.

Justice and National Reconciliation Committee of the House of Representatives said, Thursday, in a statement that it is following with concern the kidnapping of a former minister in the Government of National Accord, Faraj Boumtari.

In a statement issued by the committee, which was published Thursday, the committee said: “The kidnapping and detention that took place in the city of Tripoli by the Internal Security Agency against Boumtari is a crime that violates the law and an infringement of public freedoms and human rights, especially since the party that carried out it is considered official and affiliated with the state and is obligated to implement the law and respect it. ).

The committee called for his release unconditionally, and in the event that this is not done, it will be necessary to take the necessary measures with the responsible local and international bodies related to the protection of freedoms and human rights.
