Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of the Sultanate of Oman held a telephone call with His Excellency Abdul Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to discuss ongoing regional developments and their political and economic ramifications.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HM the Sultan and HE the President stressed the importance of intensifying political and diplomatic efforts to steer US-Iranian negotiations toward a resolution of the crisis, achieve de-escalation, and ensure the security of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
HM the Sultan and HE the President affirmed that this would support the consolidation of international peace and security in accordance with the principles of international law.
