Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received the credentials of 19 newly appointed ambassadors to the Kingdom of Bahrain during a formal ceremony held at Sakhir Palace.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the ambassadors included Liselotte Plenser from Denmark, Rudolf Michalka from Slovakia, and Hassan Saleh Al Gadam Al Djinedi from Chad, among others. His Majesty welcomed the ambassadors and emphasized Bahrain's appreciation for its strong international relations, wishing them success in their new roles. He highlighted Bahrain's commitment to fostering close cooperation and shared interests with their respective countries.
His Majesty also took the opportunity to express personal greetings to the heads of state of the ambassadors' countries and assured them of the Foreign Minister's openness to their ideas and suggestions. Emphasizing Bahrain's view of its diplomatic partners as close friends and allies, he noted the importance of sustaining progress amid global challenges. His Majesty praised the dedication of the Bahraini people and expressed confidence in the nation's future achievements with the support of international friends and allies.
The King also addressed the passing of His Holiness the Pope of the Vatican, calling him a dear friend to Bahrain. He recalled the Pope's historic visit to the country and appreciated the late Pope's efforts in promoting global understanding and harmony. His Majesty expressed hope that the Pope's legacy would continue through his successor and noted that the Royal Court had issued an official statement of condolence.
The ambassadors conveyed greetings and appreciation from their heads of state, wishing continued progress and prosperity for Bahrain. They praised the strong bilateral relations across various sectors between their countries and Bahrain.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and other key officials. The event concluded with the playing of the national anthem.
