Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has ratified and issued Law (7) of 2025, which concerns the ratification of an agreement with the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. The agreement focuses on eliminating double taxation on income taxes and preventing tax evasion and avoidance. This law was passed by both the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the agreement was originally signed in Manama on March 3, 2024, and is attached to the recently ratified law. The provisions of this law will be executed by the Prime Minister and the ministers, each within their respective capacities. The law is set to come into effect the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
