HM King Ratifies Law Approving Host Country Agreement with Permanent Court of Arbitration

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has ratified and issued Law (6) of 2026, which approves the Host Country Agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Permanent Court of Arbitration. This ratification follows the agreement's approval by both the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Host Country Agreement was initially signed in the Kingdom of Bahrain on June 17, 2025. It outlines the terms and conditions under which the Permanent Court of Arbitration will operate within Bahrain.

The Prime Minister and the Ministers have been tasked with implementing the provisions of this law. The law is set to come into force on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette, ensuring a swift enactment of its terms.
