Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa ratified and issued Decree (20) of 2026, approving an agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Government of the Republic of Cyprus. This agreement concerns the mutual academic recognition of higher education qualifications for admission and continuation of study in higher education institutions. It was based on a proposal from the Minister of Education and received approval from the Cabinet.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the agreement between Bahrain and Cyprus was signed in Manama on January 25, 2026. The Minister of Education has been tasked with implementing this decree, which is set to take effect immediately following its issuance. The decree will also be published in the Official Gazette.
