Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Order (19) of 2026 establishing the King Hamad Global Institute for Justice. The order stipulates that the institute will be established independently under the honorary presidency of His Majesty the King.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King, is appointed to chair the Board of Trustees. He will be responsible for overseeing the Institute's management and operations, and exercising the powers necessary to achieve its objectives.
The order also outlines the appointment of board members by royal decree for renewable four-year terms. It mandates the Board to issue internal regulations governing the Institute's organizational structure, employee affairs, and operational procedures. The order is effective from the date of issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
