HM King Issues Decree on Key Appointments and Transfers in Ministry of Interior

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has issued Decree (41) of 2025, which involves the appointment and transfer of several officials within the Ministry of Interior. This decision followed a proposal by the Minister of Interior and received the approval of the Cabinet.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the decree outlines a series of strategic appointments and transfers. Article I of the decree details that Ali Abdulhussain Al Shaikh Khalaf Al Asfoor, previously the Governor of the Northern Governorate, will now serve as Advisor for Community Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, holding the rank of Undersecretary.

Under Article II, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa, formerly the Governor of the Capital Governorate, has been appointed as General Coordinator for the Governorates at the Ministry of Interior, taking over from Mubarak bin Ahmed Al Fadhel.

Article III appoints Hassan Abdullah Mohammed Al Madani, who was the Deputy Governor of the Capital Governorate, as the new Governor of the Northern Governorate. He replaces Ali Abdulhussain Al Shaikh Khalaf Al Asfoor and will serve a four-year term.

As per Article IV, Shaikh Khalid bin Humood bin Abdullah Al Khalifa is named the Governor of the Capital Governorate, succeeding Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa, with a term of four years.

In Article V, Brigadier Ammar Mustafa Jaafar Al Sayed, previously the Assistant Chief of Public Security for Community Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, will now serve as the Deputy Governor of the Capital Governorate, succeeding Hassan Abdullah Mohammed Al Madani for a four-year term.

Article VI appoints Major General Abdulsalam Yousif Al Arifi, who was the Director-General of the General Directorate of Correction and Rehabilitation at the Ministry of Interior, as the Assistant Chief of Public Security for Community Affairs, taking over from Brigadier Ammar Mustafa Jaafar Al Sayed.

Finally, Article VII states that Colonel Adnan Jumaa Abdullah Bahr will become the Director-General of the General Directorate of Correction and Rehabilitation at the Ministry of Interior, succeeding Major General Abdulsalam Yousif Al Arifi.

The decree mandates that the Minister of Interior execute its provisions. It becomes effective immediately upon issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
