Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree-Law (39) of 2026 amending Article (9) of the Municipalities Law, originally implemented through Decree-Law (35) of 2001. This decision was made following a proposal by the Prime Minister and subsequent approval by the Cabinet.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the decree mandates the Prime Minister and the Ministers, each operating within their respective capacities, to implement the provisions outlined in the newly issued Decree-Law. The law is set to take effect immediately upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
