HM King Hamad Restructures National Archives Centre Board of Trustees

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has issued Decree (50) of 2025, which entails the restructuring of the Board of Trustees of the National Archives Centre. The decree was issued following a proposal by the Prime Minister and subsequent approval from the Cabinet.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the new structure of the Board of Trustees will be led by the Public Affairs Minister at the Royal Court. The board will include the Minister of Cabinet Affairs as the Deputy Chairman, the Minister of Social Development, a representative of the Royal Archives Centre, the Chairman of the National Archives Centre, the Assistant Secretary General for Information and Session Management at the Secretariat General of the Cabinet, and Dr. Abdulghani Ali Saleh Abdullah. The centre referenced in clause (3) is responsible for designating its representative to the board.

The decree specifies that the membership term of the board will span four years, with the possibility of renewal. The Prime Minister and relevant ministers are tasked with implementing the decree, which becomes effective immediately upon issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
