Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, made a significant visit to the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of its establishment. His Majesty was accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the King was received by several high-ranking officials, including Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF, as well as other senior military leaders and government officials. The visit began with the playing of the national anthem, followed by the presentation of regimental flags by His Majesty, symbolizing their incorporation into the BDF.
During the visit, His Majesty expressed his pride in the BDF's long history of service and achievements. He highlighted the Force's consistent readiness and professionalism, which have played a crucial role in supporting peace and security.
