Cairo: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa held talks today with His Excellency Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt. HM the King expressed appreciation to HE President El Sisi for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to His Majesty and the accompanying delegation. His Majesty also commended the President's role in strengthening Bahraini-Egyptian relations and wished Egypt and its people continued progress, security, prosperity, and development.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the two sides reviewed the close relations between Bahrain and Egypt, as well as areas of strategic cooperation and coordination, affirming their shared commitment to further enhancing bilateral ties in support of mutual interests. His Majesty commended the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Egypt, noting that they continue to grow stronger through the commitment and shared will of the two countries.
His Majesty expressed appreciation to HE President El Sisi for Egypt's support and solidarity with Bahrain over the measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability and ensure the safety of its people. HM the King also stressed Bahrain's condemnation of the attack on Egypt's Damietta Port and expressed the Kingdom's full solidarity with Egypt and support for the measures taken to protect its sovereignty, security, and vital facilities.
For his part, HE President El Sisi welcomed His Majesty and his visit, describing it as a reflection of the deep-rooted relations between the two countries across various domains. HE President El Sisi expressed appreciation to HM the King for Bahrain's honourable positions towards Egypt and its people under His Majesty's leadership. HE the President also reiterated Egypt's condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain and emphasised Egypt's support for the measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its security, stability, and sovereignty.
His Majesty and HE President El Sisi affirmed their shared commitment to continuing efforts to enhance bilateral relations and expand cooperation to support sustainable development and prosperity for the people of both countries. The talks also covered regional and international developments. His Majesty the King and HE President El Sisi exchanged views on ongoing efforts to address developments in the region.
HM the King and HE President El Sisi stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to promote peace, security, and stability across the region in the interests of its countries, peoples, and the wider international community. They also underscored their commitment to continuing close consultation and coordination on various issues in light of regional developments, in a manner that serves the interests of the two countries.
